Electrical Install Lead

Solar Topps is seeking an Electrical Install Lead to grow their career in the solar field. An ideal candidate has experience working with main panels, electrical boxes, and the downstairs components of solar systems. This position does not manage the full install of the home, or require any management of a team to meet deadlines. We have our teams broken up where we have a position specifically to install the boxes and conduit/wiring, and does not require any time on the roofs for roughing or install. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers full benefits and HUGE room for growth and advancement.

Requirements 

  • 5+ years of recent electrical experience in the residential, solar or construction industry. 
  • Journeymans license, formal apprenticeship, or vocational training. 
  • Valid Drivers License & ability to pass background check and drug screening. 
  • Able to properly read blueprints and safely use all power tool equipment. 
  • Fluent in English (Bilingual is Preferred) 

Responsibilities 

  • Install Electrical Boxes and bend conduit to set up the downstairs of a home for a solar system. 
  • Ensure that the work is performed in a neat and workmanlike manner and compliant with all State and local codes and standards 
  • Assemble all components of a residential solar system 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues 
  • Interface with branch leadership to ensure compliance with electrician/labor ratios and continuing education requirements 
  • Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ, and Utility requirements 
  • Work with the crew and complete all portions of Photovoltaic systems installs (PV) 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and system issues. 
  • Follow all safe work practices. 
  • Provide top-notch customer service throughout the installation 
  • Upload photos and update job status in the company database when work is complete 
  • Strong knowledge and experience of conduit bending (EMT) and ability to produce quality day after day. 
  • Perform service maintenance and repairs as needed 
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned. 
  • Document work by taking pictures and completing work orders
