I spent months shopping around and weighing the different competitors. They installed premium products for me at such an exceptional price. Good products and prices are just some of what this company has to offer. One of the most important and fundamental qualities is simple: customer service. Solar Topps massively excels in this regard. I had a pretty large and complex system installed for my North Scottsdale home. Despite the scale and complexities, the owner, Neal, would personally come and resolve any issues I may have even if it was at inconvenient times. He's been in this field for over 45 years. That's the kind of experience I know I can trust. I am incredibly happy with my new system and the service I received. I personally visited their facility and it is extremely organized and professional. They have a large wall full of solar awards and accolades right as you walk in. It made me feel confident knowing I had chosen the right company. He has many long time employees, such as Mark, Gilbert, and John, whom I've had the pleasure of working with on my project. He treats his employees fantastically, which I admire. Their teamwork and work ethic reflects properly with what Solar Topps represents. I am happy to continue using Solar Topps and will continue referring them to all of my friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Thank you, Neal & the Solar Topps team! Read More

We spent a lot of time researching and comparing solar companies before choosing Solar Topps, and now that our 12.8 kW solar and Tesla Powerwall 3 system is installed, has received APS Permission to Operate, and has been operating for a week, we're very happy with our decision. Sean was extremely responsive to our many questions during the sales and design process. We're very detail-oriented customers, and we appreciated being able to get answers and work through the design rather than feeling pressured into making a quick decision. Our project encountered an unusual complication with the City of Peoria involving two electrical circuits installed by a previous homeowner that were unrelated to the new solar installation. Neal Uppal personally communicated with the City to help establish a path forward so the solar project could continue while we handled the separate homeowner permit. It turned into quite a process, but ultimately both permits and inspections were successfully completed. We were also impressed with the installation. The crews were professional, and the equipment and electrical work were neatly installed and labeled. We did have one installation date canceled the morning work was supposed to begin when the team lead became ill, which was frustrating, but Solar Topps explained what happened, apologized, and rescheduled us for the very next day. Joan and the Project and Interconnect teams kept us informed as we moved through installation, City inspection and APS approval. Once the City inspection passed, Solar Topps quickly submitted the final documentation to APS, and we received Permission to Operate on September 29. Most importantly, after our first week of operation, we're extremely pleased with the finished system. We've been able to watch our solar production, home consumption, Powerwall charging/discharging and grid usage in real time. The system is producing well, charging the Powerwall from solar, exporting excess production to APS, and using stored energy to minimize our grid demand during APS peak hours. It's very satisfying to see the system actually doing what we hoped it would do. Solar is a major investment with a lot of steps between the initial proposal and finally producing your own power. Based on our experience, we would choose Solar Topps again. We appreciate Sean, Joan, Neal, and everyone on the installation and Interconnect teams who helped get our project across the finish line. I was very happy on how organized Solar Topps was. From the first person I dealt with, my energy consultant Sean, to the next gentleman who came out and did a survey of my solar panels, the previous companies installation of their equipment and the area where the Tesla Powerwall would be installed. They did all the permitting with the city of Gilbert and SRP. I was notified of all inspections by email in a timely fashion. The installation was extremely smooth with my electrician Mike. He was very experienced and knew his craft. He completed the installation in less than two days of the Tesla Powerwall and the fire alarm that was attached to my wired house fire alarm. Billing was all done via email and all that went smoothly too. I was shown how to use my Tesla app on my phone which would show how much my solar panels produced daily, how much energy was pulled from my solar batteries to how much energy I used from the grid. I would highly recommend Solar Topps for your solar needs. Read More

I recently had a solar system, Tesla Powerwall 3 and a new eletrical panel installed on my roof by Solar Topps, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The entire team did an excellent job; every employee I interacted with was professional, skilled, and courteous. What impressed me most was the communication. Solar Topps kept me informed at every single step of the process, navigating the often-complex construction and permitting phases with ease. I never felt left in the dark regarding timelines or inspections. The installation itself was handled efficiently. If you are looking for a solar installer that combines high-quality workmanship with transparent, consistent updates, I highly recommend Solar Topps. They truly made the switch to solar and battery backup a stress-free experience. Read More

Quick update, they recently had a great deal on adding a Powerwall expansion pack. I took them up on that and it was a very simple process, the electrician was in and out in a few hours with no need for anyone to be there. Photo attached. This review is for a rooftop solar combined with Tesla Powerwall 3 install. I had been considering solar for some time, but sticker shock from the APS rate increases finally pushed me to act. I knew I wanted to own the panels instead of getting locked into some weird lease system. Fortunately, I knew Mark Greene through work and asked his advice. He works with Solar Topps and was able to sit down with my family and clearly explain the pros and cons of different options, and give us a detailed picture of what we could expect. We decided it was a good move for us and signed up. Once the process began, it went pretty much exactly as Mark described. The installers were very professional and efficient. They work directly for the company (not subcontractors) so the communication was quick and easy and their truck was clearly labeled Solar Topps. They left the work area clean when they were done and the black on black solar panels look very nice and modern. The regulation process through the City of Phoenix and APS was definitely slow but at least proceeded smoothly. Solar Topps kept us informed of next steps and what to expect for a general timeline. So that part was as painless as possible. Now that the system is turned on and running we are very satisfied with the results. The Tesla app makes everything about your power use and generation very clear. When nothing is turned on you can see the baseline power your house uses, and the when the heater or airconditioning turns on you can see the use jump up, which is informative. Also you can easily see how much power use was solar, battery, and grid along with a cost savings estimate. So over all, I would highly recommend talking to Mark to get a good idea of what your different options are, and I would trust Solar Topps to give you a clean and efficient install and setup. Just keep in mind that your city and APS/SRP are going to take a while to inspect and approve everything. After that, enjoy making your own power, saving money and being secure from blackouts. Solar Topps recently (March, 2026) installed a new solar panel/whole home battery backup system on our home. The installation and City/SRP approval process took just three weeks, and went exceedingly smoothly. We're now enjoying our system, and have hardly used any power from SRP at all. Solar Topps communicated regularly with us throughout this process, and was always available right away when we had questions. The bidding process was likewise very smooth, and we contracted with Solar Topps, even though it did not have the lowest bid, because of its professionalism, competence, and candor, as well as its long time in business and our perception that Solar Topps is financially stable and likely to be in business for a long time. We highly recommend Solar Topps as an excellent solar contractor. Read More

For 2 months we believed the solar panels were working. After speaking to the owner we found the previous home owner failed to communicate with the realtor regarding the necessary information connecting to the system which is needed to communicate to the company's system. We later researched what was the reason why it wasn't connecting to the company. The previous owner failed to communicate the needed information regarding the company and the warranty information. The staff @ Solar Topps we have spoken with didn't get notifications of ownership changes from escrow company or the previous owner. This information should have been communicated to Solar Topps which is necessary information needed to fix the issue. "Customer service means 100% information needs to be provided which the previous owner failed to communicate. " I am so discussed with the lack of professionalism and the lack of communication we recieved" from the previous owner and failure to provide that information toSolar Topp account warranties that goes with the solar panels including maintenance etc. We should have requested written communication and ask questions regarding the solar panels. We should have notated and documented our communication during to real estate transaction and made sure that was updated with the correct information was submitted to Solar Topps as well. After working with Solar Topps owner we were able to correct our communication errors. The owner was willing to start over and we have been able to see the communication error from previous owner and escrow communication break down. However it's been resolved and moving forward. Thank you Solar Topps for working with us to fix a major communication error from the previous owner. Solar Topps has provided the necessary communication and we are moving forward together to resolve the communication breakdown. The owner was willing to have staff come out to check system and educate us on the how the system works. Thank you again to Solar Topp owner. We feel your word @ Solar Topps means something to the owner of your company and the homeowner as well. Great dedication to customer service. Thanks again Read More
